ICONIQ who enjoys moderate popular in the Japanese music industry is in fact not stranger to the land of the rising sun, while being Korean in ethnicity, she actually grew up in Japan until her departure to her native South Korea to become an idol singer — she is in fact no other than Ayumi of now defunct KPop girl group Sugar. After the group disbanded in 2006. She changed agencies to SM Entertainment around 2007, and not much has been heard from her since aside from participating in an SMTown album that same year.
Singer INOCIQ will be making a special cameo appearance in the movie Sayonara itsuka. While auditioning for the role the production team had no idea that this was the same Lee Ayumi that enjoyed fame when she was still a member of the said KPop girl group. Some parts of the filming took place in Korea which ICONIQ enjoyed seeing as she hasn’t been there in a while. The movie is scheduled to be released at the end of the year.
