박재범은 "과거는 과거로 놓아주려고 한다"며 "다시 그 문제를 건드린다면 제가 아끼는 팬 여러분, 친구들, 함께 일했던 분들 그리고 제가 사랑하는 사람들이 또 아픔을 겪게 될 것이다. 이제 겨우 모두가 상처를 묻고 다시 시작하려는 시점에서 다시 힘든 시간을 겪게 하는 것은 옳지 않다고 생각한다"고 적었다.
박재범은 "하나님 앞에, 우리 가족들 앞에 그리고 팬 여러분들 앞에 제가 떳떳할 수 있다면, 그것으로 충분하다"고도 적었다.
박재범의 입장에서는 영화 '하이프네이션' 촬영 등 새로운 활동에 박차를 가해야 하는 시점에 지난 구설수에 대해 다시 들추는 것이 적절하지 않다는 판단을 내린 것으로 어렵지 않게 추측할 수 있다. 하지만 대다수의 팬들과 네티즌들의 생각은 다르다.
