SNSD / Girls’ Generation’s recent comeback with Oh! is receiving an amazing response from the K-pop world. Their performances and music videos, which feature colorful cheerleading outfits, are also creating a sure-fire comeback of the pom poms.
Almost every k-pop girl group and female singer has either performed or was featured in a CF with a cheerleading theme in the past few years. The list of artists that have jumped on the cheerleading bandwagon also includes the Wonder Girls, Kara, 4minute, T-ara, SeeYa, Rainbow and After School.
The cheerleader inspired theme brings us back a decade, reminiscent of when the first Bring it On movie made quite a splash in the States.
