This drama once had another breakout star, Yoon Eun Hye (who rose to be a household name in Korea, following hit kdrama Coffee Prince in 2007) but production was derailed when the said actress pulled out… MBC has changed directors and with Lee Minho signing up as one of the leads, the drama is looking to move forward.
In Personal Taste, the actor will be playing Jun Jinho — a perfectionist who pretends to be gay in order to be roommates with his crush, who only seems to befriend homosexual boys. He’s a neat freak who in reality likes to play with women.
“The elegant image of Lee Minho, plus his unique charm is perfect to fulfill women’s fantasies and portray men’s true feelings. We believe his acting and charisma will attract many viewers.”, says a representative.
Lee Minho stated, “I apologize for the long wait. I think my strong desire to bring better acting made me wait even longer. I promise to return as an actor who is more mature and experienced for the viewers.”
No word yet on who is to appear alongside the actor, but the korean drama is set to air this April on MBC.
