Consisting of a total of 5 songs, this new mini album, “Beautiful Journey” will show – as the title suggests – the image of these five boys’ music journey.

You’ll be able to feel Lee Hong Ki’s smooth and powerful voice through FT Island’s colorful song.
2. Forever Hardened Skin..
This is a rock ballad song that reveals the pain of a hurt heart for the hardness of one who can’t forget his lover.
3. Baby Love
Combined with the fresh sound of ocean waves in the beginning and Lee Hong Ki’s sweet voice, this song shows more and more charm with its mellow acoustic guitar and repeated piano melody, harmonized with the disco rhythm of the chorus.
4. Crazy, Only You
Starting off with a piano melody, “Crazy, Only You” is a song that repetitively expresses “crazy” lyrics, a bittersweet portrayal of missing only you and waiting for only you.
5. The Song of Don Quixote
Out of all the Korean albums, this is the first song that member Choi Jong Hoon has participated in composing and thus has reason to receive special attention. A fresh guitar melody harmonized with Lee Hong Ki’s powerful voice, this song sings of the freedom and passion of Don Quixote life of hope.

FT Island Lee HongKi makes appearance as a ‘homeless’?
Lee HongKi updated his minihompy on 15th June with recent photos of
himself which reminded many fans of a homeless. In the photo, HongKi was
seen sprawled across on the floor asleep like a real homeless.
HongKi wrote, “I was really asleep in our Japanese company.. Our
manager hyung take photos even like these..He even gave me money^^”.
Fans commented, “Haha, really like a homeless”, “It is so funny to see
this real side of you” etc.

![news] FTisland is doing well in their Japanese Debut
FT Island is doing well at the major music market in Japan.
FT Island made their official debut in Japan last May 19 with the release of their Japanese Single "Flower Rock". After it was released, the music sales was doing well, it was on the Oricon singles chart.
FT Island's agency was very happy with the results especially being just a few ranks away from Arashi which has topped the Oricon Singles Chart. Being in the same chart as Arashi is an accomplishment itself as well. Also, they held a surprise event at the Tower Records Shibuya branch and the tickets were sold out in an hour to their surprise.
FT Island has already signed in with their Japanese label last year, but only announced earlier that this year they have signed with Warner Music Japan which handled their first major debut at the Japanese market.
FT Island will be having live event's on May 22 and 23 at Osaka, Tokyo.

!F.T Island: Leader Sets the Valley on Fire, Song Seunghyun nearly intoxicated
FT Island, titled as the first group of Flower Boys in the Korean music industry, were actually all trouble makers when they were younger! Guitarist Song Seunghyun liked to chase after anti-bacteria trucks when he was younger. Leader Jonghun liked playing with fire at the valley (hill/mountain) at the back of his home, assuming he would be able to put out the fire with his urine. Turns out, the fire became out of control, almost causing the entire valley to burst into flames.
Korean idol band, FT Island, released their first album 《Cheerful Sensibility》 3 years ago, selling over 80,000 copies. Main vocalist, Lee Hongki, raised FT Island's popularity to a whole new level when he starred in the SBS drama 《미남이시네요 (You're Beautiful)》, playing one of the lead roles as A.N.Jell's drummer, Jeremy. At the beginning of March, FT Island paid their first visit to Taiwan, showcasing a few of their major hits. 2500 tickets were sold out in just an hour, creating 7,000,000 NTS box office hits. As well, their music releases in Taiwan has reached over 30,000 copies (about 12,000,000 NTS), making about 19,000,000 in total.
Leader Sets the Valley on Fire, Song Seunghyun nearly intoxicated
FT Island, with the average age of 18, are all tall and handsome; just perfect. Who would've guessed they were trouble makers when they were younger? Leader Choi Jonghun speaks of his adventure on the valley. He was playing with fire as it unexpectedly exploded into even bigger flames. There was no water nearby, so with no other option, Jonghun and his friends stood in a straight line and tried to put out the flames with the urine. However, it seemed like the flames grew bigger as the entire valley began lighting into flames. Jonghun jokingly said, "A while back, I went back to 'visit' the valley, turns out there are a lot less trees now."
Dorky Song Seunghyun lived in the suburbs when he was younger. Often in his village, there would always be an anti-bacteria truck coming regularly to clean out the village. Seunghyun would always delightfully run behind the truck, to experience the feeling of running through the foggy mist. He laughed as he said, "At that time, I thought the smell of alcohol (anti-bacteria) was good. But it turns out, I almost got intoxicated by inhaling too much!"
Choi Jonghun, The Most Popular Guy in School
Because of Jonghun's handsome appearance, he was idolized as the 'most popular' during his schooling era. He proudly stated, "A lot of girls would make a detour to my neighbourhood, just so they could get on the same bus as me!"
Song Seunghyun, The Goody-Good that Skipped Class
Song Seunghyun is a good boy in his parents' eyes. But in reality, he had actually skipped classes to run off with his friends. He laughed as he said, "Till this day, my parents are still unaware of this. So keep it a secret!"
Lee Hongki, Victorious Child Actor
Lee Hongki debuted as a child actor; therefore he often titled himself to be the 'cutest' among the five members. During his elementary school years, Hongki practiced hard on Gyro to compete with his friends. But the results were quite upsetting as it came back the other way, hitting him instead. He was bleeding immediately and eventually, it left a scar on his face.
Choi Minhwan, Mischievous Little Trouble Maker
When Choi Minhwan was young, he assisted his younger sister to auditions. Unexpectedly, he was chosen to be an child actor as well. He went to the amusement park and took a ride on the Pirate Ship. Minhwan was so high that he stood up when the ride was in motion, and fell to the ground, hitting his head. He was eventually admitted to the hospital for a few stitches on his head.
Lee Jaejin, Clumsily Ruins his Pretty Face
When Lee Jaejin was young, he was a person that was rather clumsy. He often loses his balance when he walks and just appears to be lost all the time. There was one time when he was 'doing his business' at his grandmother's washroom. He clumsily tripped and injured his chin. Till today, every time he shaves, he could still feel that very scar.

Stepping into the diverse entertainment circle at a very young age, Hongki has an even experience side to him than most people of the same age. Whether acting or singing, he is filled with confidence, never questioning his own strength. Hongki who is recently completely putting himself into Japan activities, is awaiting to be loved even more.
Q: The opportunity to enter the entertainment circle?
Hongki: My mum’s younger brother is a fashion model, curiosity urged me to follow my uncle along to a few fashion shows. At that time the staff asked me: “Do you want to try standing on the stage for the first time? Do you want to try performing anything?”. I myself was very interested, my uncle and dad also did not oppose. After asking my mum, I went to a performing arts school for around five months. Afterwards me and my uncle both shot and wrote our own photoshoot, going back to the agency, slowly beginning to get work. During elementary school, I acted in many children dramas as a supporting role, continuing acting work with no rest. At that time I really liked singing. When going to karaokes with friends, they would often say: “Your singing is really good”, so I started to become more and more confident. At that time, my current agency asked me: “Do you want to have an audition?”, so it’s been like that up until this day.
Q: FTIsland are expanding in Japan temporarily. During the days in Japan, what have you learnt?
Hongki: Although there are less activities than in Korea, however after taking into account the extension of music, we decided to go there to study. I increased by two on the music scale. I really think that I have matured a lot in Japan. My throat is extremely weak, my vocal cords are smaller than ordinary people. I have been informed by a doctor before: “These vocal cords are not meant for singing.” However after they heard my singing, they thought it was extremely inconceivable. Before even if only I would sing a little, my voice would become hoarse, so I felt ashamed of myself. However, now in Japan we have many lives, from small live houses slowly expanding on a larger scale, giving rise to my own singing techniques. I feel that I have accumulated experience, my vocal cords are gradually becoming stronger. Thanks to this good fortune, I am now able to complete two performance stages in a day for two days continuously.
Q: The most interesting part to band activities is?
Hongki: Freedom. The limits dance teams have to determine beforehand are too many, but bands do not need to determine anything beforehand. When communicating with other companions, (one) can fully express their own feelings. Certainly, performing like that is extremely hard. I really dislike performances with rules.
Q: Lee Hong Ki’s fashion is very individual, how is the style you like?
Hongki: My general clothing style has many changes. When going to nearby places I will wear very casual and relaxing clothing; when I need to dress up, my fashion style is quite varied. I extremely like Japanese fashion. Shinjuku and Harajuku have very many fashion stores. Clothing is chosen to suit my mood of that day. Therefore, surrounding people only have to see my clothing to understand my mood. When my manager sees me wearing black clothing, he will worriedly say: “Hongki, what happened?”
Q: Hongki is fanatic of which brand?
Hongki: Recently, 90% of gifts received from fans are skull peripherals products. Until now the skull design trousers all are gifts from Japan fans, from clothing to accessories are all from this brand. The interior of my room is decorated in fundamentally black and white colours to match the skulls. Only the wash-room is dark brown, my bed is black, the everything else is white or black, it is like this… because this was how it was set up, so there is no way to change it, so until now I am still troubled.
Q: Ways to relieve stress?
Hongki: Sometimes I will go and drink with friends. In fact yesterday I was with Keun Suk hyung together at the same time drinking while recollecting things that happened while we were filming a drama.
Q: Goal for 2010 is?
Hope my own songs will be composed by me, now I am trying hard learning to compose.
Q: Ideal dream is?
Hongki: Become the top. Both music and acting I will try hard until people would say things such as “Lee Hong Ki is really amazing, he is someone who is worth us learning from”.
Q: In the future what type of character to you want to try acting?
Hongki: A villain. I hope I can act this role, the character can be bad to any extent.
Q: If “You’re Beautiful” makes a second season, will you still star in it?
Hongki: Of course I will. At that time what colour hair should my hair be dyed? (Heard the staff say white or red colour) Ah, but this really is difficult and straining.

5 member band FT Island after two years will be taking on the Japanese Market and will officially debut!
FT Island’s music agency FNC said on the 27th, “FT Island signed a recording contract with Warner Music Japan last January”, “They will release their first major single in May and broadcasting activities will follow.”
FT Island has departed to Tokyo, Japan This April 27 and to prepare and have their singles for final arrangement. Their agency said that the reason why they did not let FT Island debut in Japan sooner is because of their nature as a group being a Band and they are taking step by step advancements and prepare for various performances and independent activities in Japan and they will learn more during their stay there.
FT Island’s “Prologue of FT Island – Soyogi” was released in Japan last June 2008 and has entered the Japanese indie music. It reached top 9 in the Indie Oricon DailyChart and was climbing the top spot.
FT Island will be appearing in various media broadcasts in the future. FT Island will be all over Japan for the first half of 2010. They will hold a concert in Japan and by the Second half of 2010 they will release an album back in Korea and scheduled to meet fans.

!Lee Hongki hurt over lipsyncing accusations
He also spoke about being called a “hand-sync band,” which is a term that people use to describe bands that play with their instruments for recording, then only pretend to play the instruments during actual performances.
Lee Hongki first talked about his mistake on SBS Gayo Daejun where he went off key. He said, “I wasn’t feeling well and I did make a mistake.” He was so sick that he had to go to the hospital after the performance.
He continued, “After that, even when I tried really hard and did well live, people accused me of lipsyncing.”
He spoke about being called a handsync band, saying, “It hurt a lot to hear that. We will work harder to be recognized for our talents.” What fans don’t know is that instruments aren’t allowed to be played live on live broadcast music programs.

My birthday party!
Yesterday when I return back from china

After having our meal to our meeting time to the meeting venue

!UEE on the April issue of CeCi
There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding girl group After School and its latest member lately. Even through the chaos, UEE found time to grace the April issue of CeCi magazine.
Many rumors have been floating around that the new member would be replacing UEE, but so far that doesn’t seem to be the case. UEE is only temporarily leaving the After School dorm to live closer to the set of her upcoming drama. And even if it is a temporary leave, UEE is still a part of the group in every way. With that said however, it has not been confirmed whether or not she will join the group later this month for their comeback.

!Heechul writes about Lee Hongki’s Birthday
Although F.T. Island member Lee Hongki birthday was on March 2nd, Super Junior member Heechul just recently wrote about Hongki’s birthday yesterday.
Heechul wrote on his cyworld that they actually had to celebrate Hongki’s birthday in advance because of his busy schedule out of the country. Along with Heechul other celebrities who attended the party include Jonghyun, Mighty Mouth’s Sang Chu and Shorty J, Epik High’s Mithra Jin, Jang Geun Suk, Trax’s Jungmo, and Nassun.
Heechul also mentioned that he brought a high end camera that he received as a gift (DSLR) but couldn’t take any photos because he didn’t know how to use the camera. Included in the entry was this photo (taken by Nassun’s camera) and a video. In the video, they look a bit tipsy and it also looks like they had a great time.

!2PM’s Junho returns to Dream Team 2
Although this episode is his return is his first since he left, the latest Jaebeom controversy has already taken its toll on his participation in the show. Besides his introduction and some simple conversation, most of his parts were edited out. In addition, due to the fans’ mixed emotions and views on 2PM as of last week, many are wondering how things will turn out for Junho and the show.
