[News] U-Kiss @ Japanese Headlines (Kansai)

Pop group U-Kiss has a high level of interest in into the Japanese market of Japanese media.

Sankei Sports has reported of the authentic advance into the Japanese market.

Preparing for a full-fledged debut in June, U-Kiss took a more unique method for debut. They have decided to debut in the Kansai regions based in Osaka rather than Tokyo. Osaka, the Kansai region of Kyoto, has given base to most of U-Kiss’ plans in Japan. Other male idols are being held up to par in a completely different way from U-Kiss.*

Also parallel to their Japanese activities, they have held a solo showcase in Malaysia on the 10th of this month. The showcase was a great success with more than 10,000 fans on site.

U-Kiss is releasing a Japanese version of their mini-album ‘Bran New Kiss’ and also planning a nationwide tour. Their first official debut is set for December with their first major Japanese single.

[Twitter] U-Kiss Alexander 'Was dead for 3 hours in hospital, but now i'm feeling better'

U-Kiss is currently promoting for their albums in Asia. They have been visited countries like Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore. One of the members Alexander was already not in a good condition when they were promoting. Now, he just updated his twitter saying that he was in the hospital just now. Glad to hear that he is feeling better this moment so that he can continue to cheer for Korea. Take care and get well soon.

!UKISS “Cheonan! Rest In Peace~”

Many celebrities expressed their sadness and deepest condolences towards the Cheonan tragedy.

On April 18th, KBS 1TV has aired a special tribute “Cheonan’s Hero, You’ll Be Remembered” for the victims of Cheonan tragedy, as well as encouraging for fun-raising activities.

The show encouraged the citizens to donate for the victims of last month’s explosion that took away many lives of the soldiers. A memorial wall will be build for those victims.

Celebrities such as actress Bang Eun Hee, reporter Kim Saengmin, singer U-KISS, Hyun Cheol Yoo Seung Chan, Hong Rok Ki were among the celebrities that participated in the memorial ceremony, showing their sincere condolences.

!MTV unleashes ‘Idol United’ featuring your favourite male idols

Cable channel MTV will be coming up with a new program called ‘MTV Idol United’ where your favourite male idols will be come together to form a soccer team pitching against other soccer teams in matches.
The program was established in view of the upcoming 2010 FIFA Worldcup. The idol soccer team will play against 5 soccer teams selected through online signup. And at the end of the program, a MVP player will also be chosen amongst the idol players.

!Art of Movement, JohnnyPhlo, Decipher, Ailee & Clara Chung rock Project Korea III

The night started off with a culture play put on by a group of hardworking Rutgers students.  Their weeks of preparation and hard work paid off, because the show was a huge success.  The students were not only able to combine aspects of royal Korea and modern-day Korea, but also provide historical and cultural understanding of traditional Korea through both talent and humor.  The two princes even had quite a few female fans in the crowd.
The play centered around hit drama Goong but also included various scenes from Iris and other popular Korean shows. The impressive acting, along with the awesome dances that were creatively incorporated into the play, such as Taeyang’s Wedding Dress, T-ara’s Bo Peep Bo Peep, the Brown Eyed Girls‘ Sign, Baek Ji Young’s My Ear’s Candy, 2PM’s Heartbeat, Seeya / Davichi / T-ara’s Wonder Woman, SNSD’s Genie, and for the prince showdown, U-Kiss‘ Man Man Ha Ni & Bingeul Bingeul, made the show an instant hit with the audience.

We recently released a teaser from this SOLD OUT Rutgers KSA – allkpop event. Now we have for you photographs from this fun-filled night and HD videos in full, of the hottest performances of the night.
The voice of an angel started off the opening performances. Clara Chung, the winner of Kollaboration 2010, took the stage and performed her original cover/mash-up of, Use Somebody + Fallin’ For You and her original song, Off-Beat, while playing various instruments. She even played the melodica later in her performance!
Following Clara’s beautiful performance was Danny Chung, better known as Decipher, who came out looking fresh then delivered his latest track that was perfect for a Project Korea event, Hyundai Daewoo Kia, his own version of Lloyd Bank’s Beamer, Benz or Bentley. He also performed Where You From and I Wanna Be (ft Andrew Choi).
Rutgers KSA’s own JohnnyPhlo was next in line with Too Late, Keep your Head up to the Sky and lastly, Rollercoaster featuring Ailee, which was definitely a crowd-favorite.
To end the opening performances with a bang, Clara Chung, Decipher, JohnnyPhlo and Ailee returned to the stage for a joint performance of Wonder Girls’ Nobody “Project Korea remix.”
And last but most definitely not the least, the grand performance – Art of Movement! The fantastic four: Cha-Cha, DialTone, Junior, and of course, our man Jay Park, rocked the house with their performance. Four lucky fans from the audience were chosen to challenge each member by partaking in a handstand contest with Junior, a staring contest with DialTone, a rock-paper-scissors contest with Cha-Cha, and a Single Ladies dance contest with Jay Park! After the contests, Art of Movement got down to business and delivered a performance that made the wait worthwhile.

!U-KISS takes over the Philippines!

Having just finished shooting their new music video for "뭐라고? (What Did You Say?)" the boys U-KISS arrived in the Philippines to a big welcome. They revealed new looks, a big deal they reached with a Philippine entertainment company, and an official concert date!

Seems like U-Kiss will be the first Korean group to ever sign with a major entertainment company in the Philippines!
Philippine’s top entertainment company, Premiere Entertainment Philippines, otherwise known as PEP for short, has chosen U-Kiss as the first Korean group to sign a contract with! As to why U-Kiss was chosen out of other popular groups, a representative said that U-Kiss is very international-based, with members who can speak multiple languages ranging from Spanish to Chinese! Due to such a profound and unique skill that not many groups have, U-Kiss was given the opportunity to sign with a company in the Philippines.

U-Kiss will be holding a showcase from March 26-28 in various cities in the Philippines, including Manila. In addition, they will be promoting their music with well known companies such as GMA, the music channel MYX, and the Universal Records label.

So there’s still no confirmation about SHINee’s fan meeting in May. I think we can happily put that under the Rumour File and forget about it because apparently, U-KISS is coming to town.

The 7-member South Korean boyband is expected to hold a private fan meeting in Malaysia in June.

Geneses Dream Entertainment, the event management company that is bringing the Bingeul Bingeul boys in, made the announcement recently. Details of the event are after the jump:

!U-KISS Soohyun On His Scandal With Jokwon “Lets Not Be Friends Anymore”

U-KISS’s Soohyun talked about his peculiar scandal involving 2AM’s Jokwon.

Before their debut, Soohyun and Jokwon became best friends due to the fact that they trained together under the same company for a long time.

The signs of their close friendship could be easily seen through pictures and excessive ‘love messages’, which leads the fans’ misundertanding of thinking that they are gay.

Soohyun spoke about the accusation during the recent interview with TVDaily at Yeuido, Seoul “The gay scandal with Kwon was really strange.”

Soohyun expressed “Both Kwon and I were JYP’s trainees. During that time (training), I shared close friendships with all the trainees, not just with Kwon. I’m close with BEAST’s Dongwoon and Ki Kwang too.”

He added “Now that I read the messages again, it did feels a bit overdone. But it doesn’t matter since it was all in the past, I’m not gay anyway…”

Kibum, who was listening besides him said “After that news came out, the two of them met during KBS Music Bank. Then, Kwon hyung joked around by saying ‘Lets not be friends anymore’ to Soohyun hyung”, and laughed.

Soohyun said with a smile “Honestly, I’m grateful to Kwon. Because of Kwon, we reached #1 on various real time search engines.”

!U-KISS “Worried That Seniors Might Think That We Are Rude. Variety Program Is Hard~”

“We’re afraid that the seniors will look at us as rude”

U-KISS made a comeback into the music industry with full charisma, with their title song ‘Bingeul Bingeul’. Right after that, they became a hot stuff, appearing in radio program, music program, variety programs ect.

They are witty and don’t mind appeared with their body gags through variety programs just like what gag men & gag women do, so it’s not impossible for them to survive in the world of variety programs.

U-KISS’s Soohyun, who had just beginning to gain the attention in the variety programs, was asked about the difficulties he had while doing variety programs, told the TVDaily during the interview “I’m a member of God Of Cookery Expedition right now, it’s hard when I have to keep eating while my stomach is already full.”

Soohyun revealed “We have to visit 2 restaurants in order to film for 1 episode. We shoot for 2 episode in one day so we have a total of 4 places to visit and eat. Really, I have to keep telling myself that do not listen to my stomach even though I’m full already.”

Then Kibum told his story “It’s a bit hard when filming the variety programs with the seniors. Because there are lots of laughter and informal talks in variety programs, so it’s unavoidable that the seniors might be offended by that. I worry that such actions might seems rude to them so I apologize to them a lot during the recording.”

Foreign member Alexander too, whose his Korean is still rusty, agreed with the subject.

He shared his unfortunate experiences “Eli and I aren’t fluent in Korean yet, so we tend to miss lots of timing to talk in variety programs. There are lots of things that I want to say but the words won’t come out of my mouth, or not well presented.”

An average 16-year-old boy would normally enjoy video games and basketball as his hobbies. 16-year-old Dongho wouldn’t.
On a recent episode of MBC’s program, Fantastic Partner, Dongho revealed a rather exotic hobby of his – that is, considering his age, occupation, and most importantly gender.

Can you guess it? His hobby is none other than… knitting
(yes, the feminine activity with needles and yarn).
Teacher Gwi, the 9-year-old counselor on the show, revealed, “I feel like there’s a connection between us two because we don’t have much difference in age,” in prior to talking about Dongho’s concerns. After revealing that he enjoys knitting, the two began to get serious to make a change in his hobby.

Entering the 'Idol Craze' last year, U-Kiss comes back with their first full length album and their new title song 'Bingeul Bingeul'. Alexander (22), Kevin (19), Eli (19), Kibum (20), Soohyun (21), Dongho (16), and Kiseop (19) come back, but this time with a stronger and deeper image. Even with their packed schedule, U-Kiss came with a smile on their faces and anxiously waiting for the interview to begin.

▶ Maknae Dongho Changed?
Dongho of U-Kiss is the first member to get noticed by many fans. With 'Invincible Baseball' and 'Quiz to Change the World', Dongho has received many interest and love towards netizens and fans. This couldn't hide the members' jealousy.

"Our song is known by many people now. From then, our popularity also began to rise. But no matter what, I think Dongho was a big help to this. Dongho began to change though after this..." (laughs) (Kevin).

As the members began to complain about this, Dongho responded, "Ah, what's wrong!"

"Dongho gained a lot of confidence and freedom. I found out Dongho's hobby was knitting after watching a TV show!" (laughs) (Soohyun).

▶ Weird Sleeping Habits
The dorky 7 members are known to have unique habits. Because the members do not have a dorm, this can be seen as they sleep in the car.

"One of Eli's habit is that he goes to the restroom right after he eats! Also because we have so many members, there were a lot of times when we forgot about Eli when he was in the bathroom. This happened at least 3 times so everytime we get in the car, our manager would ask if Eli is in the car." (Kibum)

Baseball lover Dongho, also plays baseball in his dream. Kiseop revealed, "While he's sleeping in the car, there are times when Dongho will just suddenly move his hands as if he's throwing a ball."

Dongho responded to this, "It's frustrating because I can't throw right in my dream!"

▶ Soohyun's Rumor With 2AM's Jokwon
Recently, a picture of Soohyun and Jokwon that was released online stirred netizens. There were many talks about if these two idols were gay.

"I was a JYP trainee before. As everyone knows, Jokwon was a trainee for 8 years. We would talk about hard times and help each other out; that's how we became good friends. Kwonnie seems to be nicer now" (laughs) (Soohyun).

7 members also talked about what they wanted to do in the future.
