Although they only debuted in January, it looks like rookie group Dae Guk Nam Ah (D-NA) has already generated a fanbase overseas. Recently, the boys traveled down south to Thailand to participate in Show King M, an Mnet-run concert that took place on April 6 in front of 30,000 fans in Bangkok. Although it’s no surprise that more seasoned, high-profile artists like 2PM and Kim Tae Woo were greeted with an ecstatic welcome upon their arrival, D-NA was reportedly surprised at the attention they received overseas.
According to a Sports Korea report, D-NA arrived amidst a crowd one hundred fans strong in Bangkok. “Although D-NA recently debuted with their new image, we were surprised that D-NA was welcomed with so much anticipation,” a rep from D-NA’s agency said. “D-NA may receive love calls all over Asia, not just in Korea, but in Japan, China and Thailand which would gain more fans.”
The representative also talked about the chance of future international activities, calling the Bangkok reception & performance an indication of possible success in the overseas market. Although the group is still young, they’re already setting quite a high bar for themselves
