In just three months, Hwang Jung Eum managed to earn 2,300,000,000 WON ($2 million USD) from endorsements, which puts her in an elite class of endorsers.
Song Ji Mi from Skechers Korea stated, “Many fashion brands have been experiencing an increase in their sales by having current fashion icon Hwang Jung Eum as their endorser. Skechers has experienced this with Hwang Jung Eum as our model as well.”
Just two weeks after releasing the news of Hwang Jung Eum being their CF model, Skechers sold out certain types of shoes that Hwang Jung Eum was advertising. The sneakers now have the label as “Hwang Jung Eum Sneakers.”
LG Fashion’s Hedges accessories took Hwang Jung Eum as their model just a month ago and her presence created such a high demand that their online shopping mall’s server crashed. Over 30,000 people simultaneously rushed on to buy what she was advertising at Hedges as soon as it went on sale. Usually, in a given day around 100,000 customers come on the online shopping mall but after Hwang Jung Eum endorsed them, an additional 50,000 customers visited the site.
